BioI have another journal, my real journal, and my username is joannaalbert. but this is for my survey's, quizzes, and anything that doesn't really belong in my real journal. i didn't move some things because people commented on them (yay). so yea, this is the pointless but meaningful journal.
so, yea.
this is just to clear out my other journal. to get rid of things that people usually skip anyways. i just wanted my real journal to not be so cluttered. hope you understand my logic :)

A Poem About A Boy

There are things in life I can’t ever forget
like the very first day that you and I met.
I don’t know how, but right from the start
you wiggled your way right into my heart.
Then she came along, and took your breath away.
I said "I’m happy for you." What else was there to say?
Every night I cried, wishing you were mine.
But every day I smiled, pretending I was fine.
So smiling I went on, but my heart was crushed inside.
You took a little piece of me... the rest of me had died.
I couldn’t understand why you had chosen her.
She didn’t love you as much as I; of that I was so sure.
I had to tell myself that we could never be,
knowing in my heart that you you'd never love me.
And so it went from day to day--
I would hope and I would pray
that maybe you would change your mind.
I kept on wanting to press "re-wind"
to change what I did, change what I said,
a thousand possibilities danced in my head.
Then one day, you made amends
and said to me, "hey, let’s be friends!"
I thanked the Lord, I cried out for joy.
Our love we have, none can destroy.
I’m thankful that you love me.
I’m thankful that you care.
When other friends fail me,
I can count on you to be there.
On the foundation of love our friendship begun,
and as for true love, I know you're not the one.
But there is someone else waiting for me
I can not wait to meet him-- until then I am FREE!
lindsay... my long-time friend who's always been there for me.
she is one of my BIGGEST sources of encouragement!
i only beat ashley by a few gpa points... we got the 4-5 punch :)
we played field hockey together. she's a GRAND person!
